‘The Movement hotel’ was a pop-up hotel for one year run by refugees and professionals together, located in the former Bijlmer Bajes prison in Amsterdam. The hotel is a movement aiming to empower asylum seekers through job training and create an opportunity for a new beginning in the Netherlands.

The hotel is an initiative of ‘Movement on the Ground’, a non-profit organization responding to humanitarian crises affecting innocent people forced from their homes by climate change, poverty and war.
